Wellington Property Styling
Professional styling for real estate photography
and open homes — working with what you have.
Buyers scroll through dozens of listings before they ever visit a property. How your home reads in photographs determines whether they make the call.
Tracey Masters has spent 18 years helping Wellington vendors make that first impression count.
What I Offer
A comprehensive on-site visit — up to two hours — walking through your home together and identifying exactly what needs to change before marketing begins.
Hands-on styling on or before shoot day to make sure every room reads beautifully on camera. The details that matter most, handled.
Not in Wellington, or prefer to start remotely? A video call and email follow-up covers the key principles and gives you a clear action plan.
Moving into a new place? I'll help you arrange and style your furniture and belongings so your new home feels considered and complete from day one.
Specific recommendations for pieces that will elevate your space — always with budget in mind. No unnecessary spending, just the right additions.
How It Works
We start with a phone conversation to understand your home, your timeline, and what you're hoping to achieve. From there, we agree on a time that works for you.
I spend up to two hours walking through your home with you — room by room — identifying what to move, edit, or add. You'll leave with a clear picture of what needs to happen.
After the consultation, I send through visual references, example photos, and any specific recommendations — paint colours, styling notes, or pieces worth sourcing — so you have everything in one place.
As an add-on, I'm available to come back on the morning of your shoot for a final styling pass before the photographer arrives.
What Clients Say
Tracey completely transformed how I saw my own home. I'd lived there for 12 years and stopped noticing things. She walked in and within minutes had a clear vision — and the photos were incredible.
— Sarah M., Karori
Our agent recommended Tracey and I'm so glad she did. The consultation was relaxed and practical, not overwhelming. The house sold in four days — I genuinely think the presentation made the difference.
— James & Anna T., Thorndon
Working with Tracey is the best investment you can make before listing. She understands what the camera sees, and she makes the whole process feel effortless.

About
I'm a property stylist who works directly with vendors to get their home looking its absolute best for marketing photos and beyond.
What I do is a little different from traditional home staging. Rather than bringing in furniture and accessories, I work with what you already have — making the most of your existing pieces and only suggesting additional items where they'd genuinely elevate the overall look. I'm also mindful of budgets, so nothing I recommend will break the bank.
Because most buyers encounter a property online before they ever step through the door, first impressions really do matter. My focus is on how your home will read in photographs — once it looks great there, it naturally carries through to your open homes too.
After the consultation has been completed, I'll follow up with example photos so you can see exactly how those spaces will come across on camera. It's a handy reference for keeping things photo-ready on the day.
A beautifully presented home not only photographs better — it genuinely supports the agents in achieving the best possible result for your sale. As an optional add-on, I'm also happy to come back on the morning of the shoot to do a final styling pass before the photographer arrives.
Whether you're preparing to list, just moving in, or not sure where to start — get in touch and we'll find the right approach for you.
Most enquiries come via referral from real estate agents, but all vendors are welcome.
